Race Information
Enjoy this scenic, rolling course on park roads, non-technical trails & through the Texas hill country. The Joshua Springs Park & Preserve is a recent acquisition of Kendall County, and it's not yet open to the public. Over 400 acres of natural Texas beauty; home to hundreds of white tail and Axis deer. Come get your last long run or walk before the Rock 'n' Roll Marathon & Half Marathon, and enjoy the change in scenery!

Registration
You
may register via mail,
online,
or at any area running store. The cost is $25 per person, $23 for military
and SARR members. Late fees kick in after Oct 9th, 2010 -- $30 for everyone. Technical race shirt guaranteed to first 300 registrants only! Register early to get yours!

Pickup
Packet pickup will be held at Run
Gear Run on Friday, Oct. 22 from 10:00 am - 6:00 pm. Race day
packet pickup will be held Saturday, Oct. 23 at the park from 6:30 am
- 7:45 am.
Directions
to Venue
Take IH-10 towards Boerne. Just past Boerne, exit #533 Welfare/Waring. Stay straight on FM 289 past Smittyville & PoPo’s. When FM 289 crosses back under IH-10, turn right onto FM289 N and the park entrance will be on your left.

Details
The RGR Fall Fest course is broken into three segments:
- 2.5 mile loop within the park (mix of paved roads and gravel trails)
- 2 mi or 5.75 mi out & back segment along Waring-Welfare Road (lots of shade!)
- 1.5 mile loop within the park (mix of paved roads and gravel trails)

Aid stations are located approximately every 2 miles along the course and restrooms are approximately every 4 miles:
- Inside park at dam crossing
- Intersection of Green Cedar & Waring-Welfare Rd (with port-a-can & GU stop)
- Welfare General Store on Waring-Welfare Rd
- 25k turnaround on Waring-Welfare Rd (with port-a-can)
Course Support
Aid stations are located approximately every 2 miles and will include:
- Water with cups
- Electrolyte drink
- Band-aids
- Vaseline
Port-a-cans will be located at the race
start/finish and along approximately every 4 miles.
Post-race
Expo
Race finishers will
enjoy a fun, festive post-race expo at the park including music, vendor booths,
raffle prizes, massage work, hot food and cold beer.
Details about vendors and sponsors in the post-race area will be posted soon.
Awards
Overall awards will be given to the top male/female and top maters male/female in both the 8 miler and the 25k.
Age group winners for both the 8 miler and the 25k will receive a custom Fall Fest duffle bag. Awards to top three male/female, 5-year age increments 15 to 70+.
No duplicate awards all divisions.
